Eugene P. Ruehlmann : ウィキペディア英語版 | Eugene P. Ruehlmann Eugene Peter Ruehlmann (February 23, 1925 – June 8, 2013) was an American lawyer and politician. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ruehlmann served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Ruehlmann then received his bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and his law degree from Harvard Law School. He then practiced law. In 1959, Ruehlmann was elected to the Cincinnati City Council and then served as Mayor of Cincinnati from 1967 to 1971. During his tenure as mayor he oversaw the building of Riverfront Stadium and helped bring the Cincinnati Bengals to the city. He also made significant efforts to reach out to African American communities in the wake of race riots in 1967. He was a member of the Republican Party.
